MISSION
The HG Marching Band is a groundbreaking youth arts program serving more than 40 students in its inaugural year from across Greater Boston and communities throughout Massachusetts. Designed to inspire, educate, and unite, the program offers young people ages 8-18 access to high-quality music and performance education rooted in the proud traditions of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
VISION
More than just a band, the HG Marching Band is a community movement that cultivates discipline, leadership, and academic ambition through the performing arts. Guided by artistic advisors from the multi-award-winning Florida A&M University Marching 100, the 2024 ESPN Battle of the Bands champion, the program provides students with mentorship, cultural enrichment, and a clear college pathway, empowering the next generation of scholars and artists to march toward excellence.
