REMEMBERING 1619
The Remembering 1619 project celebrates the resilience and contributions of African Americans and its artistry over the past 400 years.

Filmed in November 2019, this work consists of four movements and features African American artists and religious thought-leaders throughout Greater Boston. Together, through the mediums of visual and performing arts, we retold the stories of our enslaved ancestors as a way to reclaim our history for the generations to come.

This is an ongoing creative project at the Hamilton-Garrett Center for Music and Arts, with this video serving as on epart of a larger work.
